Nassos Galiopoulos

Chief Technology Officer & Deputy Chief Information Officer at The University of Texas at San Antonio

Bio - Nassos Galiopoulos is an accomplished technology executive with over 20 years of experience spearheading digital transformations within higher education. As the CTO and Deputy CIO at The University of Texas at San Antonio, he drives strategic technology initiatives that align with the university's mission to enhance education for more than 34,000 students and faculty. His leadership has catalyzed significant advancements in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications, markedly improving learning experiences and operational efficiency. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Cybersecurity and Analytics at UTSA, underscoring his commitment to continuous learning and innovation. A seasoned cybersecurity leader, this professional has held prominent roles including Global Vice President of Cyber Security Strategy and Advisory at NTT, and Chief Information Security Officer for both the Texas Department of Transportation and Texas.gov. With a track record of leading security and disaster recovery for organizations exceeding $12 billion in value, and overseeing cybersecurity for a $4+ billion e-commerce enterprise, they bring deep expertise in building security and compliance programs for Fortune 500 clients. A recognized thought leader, they have delivered keynote addresses for the American Petroleum Institute, NATO, and major universities.

Erik Anderson

Systems Engineer-Operational Technology - Fortinet

Bio: A veteran in the networking and security spaces, Erik has worked in Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, and Electrical Generation/Transmission industries for almost 25 years.  He is currently an OT Specialist with Fortinet, and has held architect and leadership positions at companies such as Devon Energy, Crestwood Midstream, and NTT.

Mark A. Krisak

Director of Cyber Security | Cybersecurity Strategist | HIPAA Security Officer

Bio: Mark Krisak is a seasoned cybersecurity executive with over three decades of experience leading security architecture, governance, and risk management initiatives across diverse industries including retail, insurance, healthcare, and government. As Director of Cyber Security and HIPAA Security Officer at H-E-B, Mark has built and led high-performing teams, developed enterprise-wide security strategies, and implemented cutting-edge technologies to protect critical infrastructure and data assets.

Mark’s leadership has been instrumental in transforming H-E-B’s security posture, including the development of secure cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP, Salesforce, Kubernetes), implementation of DevSecOps pipelines, and the establishment of a Security Operations Center (SOC). He has driven compliance with major regulatory frameworks such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOX, GDPR, and NIST 800-37, and led initiatives for HiTRUST and ISO 27001 certification readiness.

A recognized thought leader, Mark co-founded the Retail ISACs for Pharmacy and Fuel, and regularly collaborates with industry and government leaders and law enforcement to shape cybersecurity policy and strategy. His technical expertise spans secure software development lifecycles, identity and access management, threat modeling, penetration testing, and disaster recovery planning. He is also a skilled communicator and educator, known for fostering a culture of security awareness and operational excellence.
