Brei McCumbers

Bio: Brei is a DevOps Engineer and Compliance Manager who has worked in IT Consulting for 5 years, supporting customers at every stage of their compliance journeys, from inception to program enhancement. She graduated from the University of  Texas at San Antonio with a BS in Computer Science. Consulting provides Brei a source of continual adventure and problem solving, which is also reflected in her passion for collecting hobbies such as pottery, archery, metal smithing, DIY projects, gardening, and more.

Topic: Journey into the world of IT Consulting & Compliance Desc: Brei will dive into her 15 year journey beginning with an all-girls high school education and ending in the field of IT Consulting, highlighting the experiences presented to her which cultivated an interest in STEM and led her to the world of Cloud and Compliance.

Jessica Jimenez

Bio:  Jess Jimenez is the Head of Security at Dropbox, where she leads programs that protect customers, systems, and data while helping the business move quickly and safely on its AI journey. An Army veteran, she brings a mission-oriented, calm-under-pressure approach to incident leadership, security strategy, and cross-functional risk management. Jess is passionate about building high-trust teams and mentoring the next generation of security leaders.

Topic: Leadership Under Pressure: A Security Leader’s Framework

Desc: A candid, story-driven talk on the pivotal moments that shaped my approach to leading security teams through uncertainty, high stakes decisions, and constant change. Each vignette distills into a practical leadership principle that can be applied immediately, and the session closes with a short exercise to help folks begin codifying their own leadership framework.

Dr. Keri Pearlson

Bio:  Dr. Keri Pearlson is a Principal Research Scientist and Sr. Lecturer at MIT’s Sloan School.  She’s the former Executive Director of Cybersecurity at MIT Sloan (CAMS), where she began groundbreaking work at the intersection of cybersecurity leadership, organizational strategy, and human risk. Her research focuses on building cyber resilience, fostering strong cybersecurity cultures, keeping the supply chain secure, understanding how small and medium enterprises build security, and shaping boardroom governance of cyber risk. With a doctorate from Harvard Business School and degrees from Stanford, Dr. Pearlson bridges academic insight and executive practice. She regularly advises C-suite leaders and boards on navigating the evolving cyber threat landscape and is a frequent keynote speaker on cybersecurity strategy, culture change, and the future of digital risk management.

Topic: Beyond Protection: The Power of Cyber Resilience

Desc: We must challenge the outdated notion that cyber protection is enough for today’s enterprises. It’s not.  Reality demands a shift in how we think about cybersecurity: from guarding the crown jewels to bouncing back fast.  A more practical approach for cyber resiliency builds on the assumption that breaches will happen. The real question is: how quickly can you recover. Most organizations pour resources into prevention and detection, but neglect response and recovery. Even those with business continuity plans rarely test them against real-world cyber threats.  When they do, many fall short. Resilience isn’t reactive; it’s a strategy. Learn how to prepare before you're in crisis mode.
